The primary objective of Spiderette Solitaire is to build four complete sequences of thirteen cards each, arranged in descending order from King down to Ace and all in the same suit, within the tableau. Once a full suit sequence is completed, it is removed from play. The game is won when all cards have been organized into these four complete sequences and moved off the tableau.
Setup & Layout:
Deck: A standard 52-card deck is used.
Tableau: Seven tableau piles are created. Cards are dealt as follows:
The first pile receives one card, the second pile receives two cards, continuing up to the seventh pile, which receives seven cards.
All cards are dealt face down except the top card of each pile, which is dealt face up.
Stock: The remaining 24 cards form the stock pile, which is set aside and used to deal new cards onto the tableau during gameplay.
Foundations: There are no traditional foundation piles; completed King-to-Ace sequences in the same suit are removed from the tableau and set aside as completed foundations.
Key Play Areas:
Tableau: The main play area with seven piles where all building and movement occurs.
Stock: The pile from which new cards are dealt onto the tableau.
Foundations (implicit): Area off the tableau where completed suit sequences are placed.
Spiderette Solitaire Rules:
Building on the Tableau:
Cards are built in descending rank (King down to Ace) regardless of suit.
Only the top card of each tableau pile is available for play.
A single card or a group of cards in descending sequence and of the same suit may be moved as a unit.
Moving Cards:
Any face-up card may be moved onto another tableau pile if it is one rank lower than the destination card, regardless of suit.
Groups of cards can only be moved together if they form a descending sequence in the same suit.
Empty Spaces:
Any card or valid sequence (regardless of suit) may be moved into an empty tableau pile.
Dealing from Stock:
When no further moves are possible or desired, one card is dealt face up onto each tableau pile from the stock.
All tableau piles must be filled (no empty spaces) before dealing from the stock.
The final deal from the stock will distribute one card to each of the first three tableau piles.
Completing Sequences:
When a complete sequence from King down to Ace in the same suit is assembled on a tableau pile, it is removed from play.
Gameplay:
The player examines the tableau and moves available face-up cards, building down in rank regardless of suit.
If a face-down card becomes the top card of a tableau pile, it is turned face up immediately.
The player may move sequences of cards only if they are in perfect descending order and of the same suit.
When no more moves are possible or the player chooses, the stock is used to deal one new card face up to each tableau pile (all piles must be filled before dealing).
Play continues with moving and building sequences, revealing cards, and dealing from the stock until all cards are organized into complete suit sequences or no further moves are possible.
Winning & Losing Conditions:
Winning: The game is won when all four complete suit sequences (King through Ace) have been built and removed from the tableau.
Losing/Unwinnable State: The game is lost if no further moves are possible and the stock is exhausted, leaving incomplete sequences on the tableau.
Special Rules & Edge Cases:
Filling Empty Tableau Piles: Any card or valid descending sequence (regardless of suit) may fill an empty tableau pile.
Dealing Restrictions: All tableau piles must be filled before dealing a new row of cards from the stock.
Sequence Movement Restriction: Only sequences in the same suit can be moved together; otherwise, only single cards may be moved.
No Redeal: Once the stock is exhausted, no more cards can be dealt; there is no redeal in Spiderette Solitaire.
Face-Down Cards: Whenever a face-down card is exposed at the top of a tableau pile, it is immediately turned face up.

Tableau: The main area of play consisting of seven piles where cards are arranged and manipulated.
Stock: The pile of undealt cards used to replenish the tableau.
