The primary goal in Super Flower Garden Solitaire is to move all 52 cards from the tableau to the four foundation piles, building each foundation in ascending order by suit from Ace to King.
Setup & Layout:
Use a standard 52-card deck.
Tableau: Deal 17 tableau piles, each with 3 cards placed face-up. The final, 52nd card is placed face-up as a single pile, resulting in 18 tableau piles in total (17 piles of 3 cards, 1 pile of 1 card).
Foundations: Four empty foundation piles are set aside to be built up by suit from Ace to King.
Stock: There is no traditional stock or reserve at the start. However, the entire tableau can be redealt twice during play (see Special Rules).
All cards are dealt face-up; there are no face-down cards in this variant.
Super Flower Garden Solitaire Rules:
Card Movement: Only the top card of each tableau pile is available for play.
Building on Foundations: Foundations are built up in ascending order by suit, starting with the Ace and ending with the King (e.g., Ace, 2, 3, …, King of Hearts).
Building on Tableau: Tableau piles are built down in rank, regardless of suit or color (e.g., a 6 can be placed on a 7 of any suit).
Single Card Moves: Only one card can be moved at a time; sequences or stacks cannot be moved together.
Empty Spaces:Empty tableau piles cannot be filled; once a pile is emptied, it remains empty for the rest of the deal.
Gameplay:
Players may move the top card of any tableau pile to:
A foundation pile (if it follows suit and sequence).
Another tableau pile (if it is one rank lower than the destination card, regardless of suit).
After all possible moves have been made, the player may redeal:
Collect all cards from the tableau, shuffle, and redeal into tableau piles of three cards each (with any remainder forming a single pile).
Two redeals are permitted (three deals in total, including the initial deal).
No cards are drawn from a stock or reserve during play; all cards are always visible and available for movement according to the rules above.
If no legal moves are available and redeals have been exhausted, play ends.
Winning & Losing Conditions:
Win Condition: The game is won when all cards have been successfully moved to the four foundation piles, built up by suit from Ace to King.
Lose Condition: The game is lost if, after all permitted redeals and moves, not all cards can be moved to the foundations (i.e., cards remain in the tableau and no further moves are possible).
Special Rules & Edge Cases:
Redeal Mechanism: After exhausting all possible moves, the player may collect all tableau cards, shuffle, and redeal into 17 piles of 3 cards and one pile of 1 card. This can be done up to two times per game (three deals total).
Empty Tableau Piles: Empty tableau piles cannot be refilled during a deal. This restriction increases the challenge and strategic depth of the game.
Sequence Movement: Only single cards may be moved at any time; sequences or multiple cards cannot be moved together.
No Stock or Reserve: There is no stock or reserve pile in Super Flower Garden Solitaire, distinguishing it from related variants such as Flower Garden.
All Cards Face-Up: Every card is visible at all times, eliminating hidden information and focusing the challenge on strategic movement and redeal timing.
Summary of Unique Features:
Super Flower Garden Solitaire is characterized by its 18 tableau piles, strict single-card movement, unfillable empty tableau spaces, and the strategic redeal mechanism, which allows players to reshuffle and redeal the tableau up to two times per game.
